OneGov AI answers questions about Zimbabwe's Constitution, Acts of Parliament, statutory instruments, general notices, Government Gazettes and national policies. This page describes, in general terms, how the service handles information.
You can ask a limited number of questions without an account. After that, continuing requires a free account, which includes a daily question allowance; a paid plan removes the daily limit. When you sign up we store your email address, a securely hashed version of your password (we cannot see the password itself), and the date you joined. We do not ask for your name, phone number or identity documents, and we do not send marketing email.
Your chat history is kept in your own browser and you can clear it at any time from the sidebar. A random device identifier in a cookie counts free questions and keeps you signed in.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time from the account menu in the app. This permanently removes your email, password hash and sign-in sessions from our systems.
The free plan may show advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads; this is governed by Google's advertising policies, and you can manage ad personalisation in your Google settings. We do not give advertisers your questions, email address or any other account data. Paid plans are ad-free.
Questions are processed by third-party artificial intelligence providers — currently Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini) — to generate answers from the gazetted texts. Your question text is sent to these providers for processing and is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Your email address and account details are never sent to them. Please do not include personal details, such as identity numbers or financial information, in your questions.
If you tap Share on an answer, a public link to that question and answer is created. Anyone with the link can read it, so do not share answers containing information you consider private.
OneGov provides general information from the gazetted texts, not legal advice, and the service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. For advice about your specific situation, consult a legal practitioner. If you cannot find some information, check the official government sites, as we are still updating our records.
The legal texts behind OneGov AI come from publicly available sources: Veritas Zimbabwe, the Judicial Service Commission gazette portal, and Laws.Africa, whose content is published under open licences. We are grateful to these organisations for keeping Zimbabwe's laws and gazetted documents freely accessible.
